Microsoft Inspire 2020: what did we learn?

Microsoft Inspire is a partner-focused event, held annually and is full of updates, new features, and the big changes due to take place over the coming year. This year’s objective was no different, apart from the whole world is on lockdown and they had to host the event virtually for the first time.

Speaking at the event, and to the Financial Times at the start of June, CEO Satya Nadella shared some new numbers:

  • In April, Microsoft saw more than 200 million Microsoft Teams meeting participants in a single day, generating over 4.1 billion meeting minutes
  • Teams now has more than 75 million daily active users
  • Two-thirds of these users have shared, collaborated, or interacted with files

In the words of Satya Nadella:

“We’ve seen two years’ worth of digital transformation in two months. From remote teamwork and learning, to sales and customer service, to critical cloud infrastructure and security—we are working alongside customers every day to help them adapt and stay open for business in a world of remote everything.”

And this digital transformation to adapt and stay open for business in a world of remote everything, includes Microsoft too, as they rush to not only deliver solutions but events too. In May, Microsoft hosted Build virtually which resulted in record attendance with over 230,000 registrations and this week, Microsoft Inspire 2020 was no different.

And these developments will improve your ability too and engaging with the partner network helps customers everywhere achieve more.
