Seaton Partners host a Microsoft Dynamics Summit to celebrate a year of growth

To celebrate a successful year at Seaton Partners and share our expert knowledge, we hosted our first Microsoft Dynamics Summit at the beginning of December, and we were humbled by how many of our valued customers were in attendance.

Historically, Seaton Partners has specialised in ERP, but this year we have welcomed some brilliant new talent into the team with strong experience and knowledge across a variety of applications from the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Suite, including but not exclusive to CE, PowerApps and Talent.

The summit was designed to showcase our extended offering and to equip our customers and their team with the knowledge and tools necessary to accelerate the speed of doing business by empowering people to make smarter decisions, transform business processes faster, and drive business growth.

The day started with a Champagne breakfast and MD, Adam Seaton presented a top-level overview of Seaton Partners; Microsoft Dynamics 365; and our commitment to representing the industry and supporting Women in Technology, with Sara Bliss, Projects Director having recently being nominated onto the WIT board.

This was followed by three unique sessions to inspire, help customers discover new opportunities, and breakouts to explore applications and updates from Dynamics 365, with the senior team showcasing the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Application Ecosystem including, Power BI and Augmented Reality demos.

To ensure our technical team were kept on their toes for the day, we asked customers to challenge the team to create a concept solution for a current business problem in just 4 hours. The challenge was the management of project resource and resulted in a SharePoint list based PowerApp, allowing users to log their ‘actual’ time spent on a task – to then either be congratulated by email or encouraged in Microsoft Teams (both via Power Automate) depending on whether they were over or under budget. The exercise proved to be a brilliant opportunity to showcase the talent and humour.

We were fortunate to have a Microsoft representative present, providing customers with updates and answering direct questions, before we finished the day with a Q&A with Andrew Clift, Technical Director and MD, Adam Seaton – and maybe a beer to toast a successful day.

Adam Seaton, managing director, comments, “It’s been a record year for Seaton Partners; we’ve welcomed a number of experienced and talented team members from across the globe; completed the second stage of our office refit, creating a brilliant space for consultants to share and collaborate; implemented some significant projects with some incredible feedback from customers; launched our new company values and expanded our offering. It’s an exciting time for the company”.

Tomas BilotasThe Manufacturing Technology Centrebusiness systems manager, commentedThe Microsoft Summit at Seaton Partners was not only fun, but very informative with great networking opportunities, and I’ll definitely be at the next one.
