Over the last two decades JML has grown into a household name, one of the nation’s favourite brands and a world leader in retail screen promotions and TV home shopping. JML’s ambitious plans for further rapid growth means you can find their diverse range of products on virtually every high street and in many of the biggest retailers throughout the UK and Ireland. To assist their growth and their commitment to digital transformation Seaton Partners worked with their internal team to deploy Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Operations and Finance.
The project was across two sites; finance, product development, sales forecasting and HR in their Chiswick office in London; and purchasing, sales order processing and logistics in their Tyne Dock office in South Shields.
Seaton Partners carried out functional workshops to establish processes utilising the Business Processor Module in Life Cycle Services (LCS). Then through a number of conference room pilots (CRP) the JML team were able to see their processes working end to end in their test system. Having all of the key users from each of the work streams involved in the CRP’s ensured rapid business decisions. Seaton Partners technical team worked hard to ensure Dynamics 365 interfaced with JML’s EDI and their outsourced warehouse providers.
JML Retail went live in September 2017 after a 7-month project, which was on schedule. During 2018, JML will implement Microsoft Dynamics for Sales and will complete the Dynamics 365 platform with the addition of their JML Direct business. With the addition of further integrations to their supply chain, expanded internal Power BI deployment and a widening of the project scope to other parts of the business, JML have truly embraced the benefits of a single architectural platform that will provide a great springboard for their ongoing digital transformation strategy.
